Barstool Sports Continues to Help Struggling Small Businesses

Barstool Sports has raised over $32 million to help support small businesses struggling due to COVID-19 shutdowns.

Due to COVID-19 shutdowns throughout the United States, small businesses from restaurants to boutiques, child care services to hair salons, have all been negatively impacted by the government shutdowns. Enter Dave Portnoy and Barstool Sports.

The company launched The Barstool Fund to help support small businesses during this troubling time. Since they launched the Fund a few months ago, over $32 million has been raised from over 200k supporters. To date, 191 businesses have been supported through this Fund.

I write this blog to help bring awareness to this charitable effort. Small businesses have been hit particularly hard over the last year, and many are struggling to stay afloat. Even though state and local governments have slowly begun easing lockdown restrictions over the past few weeks, these local small businesses still need your support.

If you have the means to do so, consider donating a few bucks to this Fund (see link at the top). Every bit helps!
